This year, Fuyun County comprehensively promote the closed pit mine ecological restoration, relying on the "Xinjiang Eerqis River Basin ecological protection and restoration project pilot project" financial support, the central environmental protection inspectors feedback rectification tasks in the part of the historical legacy of the closed pit mine ecological restoration and environmental restoration and management of damaged areas of the nature reserve. The project will include the ecological restoration of some historical closed-pit mines and the environmental restoration and management of damaged areas of nature reserves in the rectification tasks of the feedback from the central environmental protection inspectors, and will speed up the geological environment restoration and ecological restoration project in damaged areas of Altay Forest Park and nature reserves. In the "Erqis River on both sides of the geological environment restoration and ecological restoration and governance project" area, the scientific choice of ecological restoration methods, scheduling, accelerate the progress of geological environment management, to ensure that high standards, high quality to complete the ecological restoration tasks.

It is understood that the Altai Mountain Forest Park, Nature Reserve damaged areas of geological environment restoration and ecological restoration project with a total investment of 80.02 million yuan, the governance of a total area of 13.17 square kilometres. 2019 has been invested in funds of 32.161 million yuan up to the present time, geological restoration of the completion of the total amount of 7,191,100 cubic metres of work, covered with planting soil of 776,500 cubic metres, micro-terrain creation 6,964,500 square metres, and 8,694 kilograms of grass seed sown by hand.

In order to ensure ecological restoration in place, Fuyun County started the project at the beginning of the geological environment restoration and ecological restoration of governance feasibility study, through a number of expert evidence, to determine the construction programme, on September 5 to officially carry out the governance of the restoration of the construction and according to the actual situation of each governance area, the use of cut and fill high and low, cut and lower slopes, mulching and greening, with the slope of the trend and other ways of restoration, to maintain the basic consistency of the surrounding geomorphology. Up to now, a total of 1,538,600 cubic metres of earth and rock have been cut and filled in the project area of geological environment restoration and ecological restoration and governance on both sides of the Erqis River, 215,200 cubic metres of soil have been covered with mulch, and 793,100 square metres of microtopography have been created.

According to the vegetation survey around the project area and the availability of plant seeds, the plants used for ecological restoration this time are Artemisia serrata, Sarcophagus, Woody groundnut, camel's hair quinoa and so on. In the process of treatment and restoration, in order to ensure the growth of plants, surface mulching and microtopography were carried out, and organic fertilizers (cow and sheep dung) were mixed and sown with local native grass seeds.
